Broccoli Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp broccoli seeds
  • ½ cup water

Method

  1. Rinse the seeds in cool water and soak them in a bowl of cool water for about 8 - 12 hours.
  2. Drain the water and rinse the seeds again.
  3. Spread the seeds evenly in a shallow dish and cover with the cotton tea towel.
  4. Place the dish in a cool, dark place for the first few days.
  5. Sprinkle some water over the tea towel daily to keep it damp.
  6. Once the sprouts have grown, remove the tea towel, move the dish to a sunny spot to allow the sprouts to green up.
  7. Harvest the sprouts by cutting the stems just above the roots.
  8. Store them in a sealed container in the refrigerator or in the freezer.
